He specialized in minimum incision surgery and was the medical director of the Adel Ambulatory Surgery Center in Georgia.
After 9/11, he took a staff position at The Battle Creek Michigan Veterans Hospital where he cared for our veterans specializing in biomechanics and rehabilitation. It was during this tenure that Dr Biehler used Dr Shavelson’s foot orthotic laboratory for fabrication of custom restorative orthotics and continuing medical education that led him towards his current wellness and evidence based approach to treating patients.
In June, Dr. Biehler, a New York native, returned to New York to be close to his family and to work alongside of his long time mentor and friend Dr. Shavelson at LifeStyle Podiatry and The Toenail Clinic. It’s a perfect partnership as both doctors share a belief in going beyond diagnosing and treating complaints like injury, pain, balance problems, deformity and disability. At LifeStyle Podiatry, our mission is geared towards prevention, performance enhancement, quality of life upgrading and the wellness and functional health of our patients.
